Connie Weber was down for several days last week to visit with her parents, Denis and Theresa Weber. She and her brother, Jerry, came and helped make sausage patties Thursday evening for the annual groundhog meal Saturday at the Catholic Church in Tribune, Kansas.
A large crowd enjoyed the pancakes, sausage and eggs at the groundhog dinner Saturday sponsored by the Catholic Church. We would like to thank everyone who helped make the day a huge success. Those attending from the Sheridan Lake and Towner area were Denis, Theresa, Connie, Jerry, and Quinton Weber; Larry and Judy Tuttle; Ernie and Connie Lambright; Delmas and June Beaman and Dick and Sharon Scott.
Merle and Carol Shalberg visited with Jim and MaryAnn Richardson at the nursing home in Eads last week. They are doing very well and enjoying being back closer to home and having friends come to visit.
Cheri Hopkins, Christy Hopkins, and Evan and Jen Hopkins and family traveled to Syracuse, Kansas, last Saturday to watch Layton Hopkins play basketball. After the games, they stopped and visited with Brett and Kayla Harkness and family.

Last Thursday and Friday, Plainview teachers Carol Allan, Annie Bray, Susan Greenfield, Tara Stum, Jeanie Smith, and Paige Specht traveled to Denver to attend a reading conference. They saw lots of snow while up there.
Dick, Kyle and I went to Garden City, Kansas, last Wednesday for doctor appointments. Everyone got a good report.
Linly and Sherell Stum; Monte and Linda Stum; Scott Chapel; Barb Wanderlingh and Ron and Lori Healy went to Coolidge, Kansas, for a farewell supper for Ron and Lori, who are moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to be closer to their children. We are sad to see good people move away from our community, but we wish them all the best for the future.
