Governor Orders Flags Lowered for Park County Deputy
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff Monday (March 14, 2016) at all public buildings across the state in memory of Park County Sheriff’s Office Corporal Nate Carrigan. Flags are to be at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.
Carrigan was killed in the line of duty while helping to serve an eviction notice at a Park County home in later February.
Services for Carrigan will be held Monday in Arvada.
Earlier this week, Governor Hickenlooper ordered flags across the state to be lowered in memory of former First Lady Nancy Reagan, who died Sunday. Flags may be raised to full staff Friday at sunset and remain at that position until sunrise Monday.
