Governor Polis Appoints Arturo G. Hernandez to the 17th Judicial District Court
Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Arturo G. Hernandez to the 17th Judicial District Court. This appointment fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Chief Judge Donald S. Quick and is effective January 23, 2024.
Hernandez is a Senior Lead Deputy District Attorney in the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, a position he has held since 2022. His practice consists of criminal prosecution. Previously, he was Deputy District Attorney in the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (2021-2022); General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at LaRoche Tree Service, Inc. & Affiliates (2020-2021); Senior Director of Compliance and Investigations at Otis Elevators Inc. (2020); Senior Director of Global Compliance and Corporate Counsel at RPM International Inc. (2013-2020); Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice (2004-2013); Deputy District Attorney in the 2nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office (1997-2004); and Associate at Davis, Graham & Stubbs LLP (1995-1997).
He is a former Marine and earned his B.S.B.A. and J.D. from The Ohio State University in 1988 and 1995, respectively.
Colorado’s 17th Judicial District includes Adams and Broomfield counties.
