Cañon City will become a new daily stop on the Bustang Outrider Alamosa–Pueblo bus route beginning February 17, expanding transportation options for residents and visitors in Fremont County, state transportation officials announced.

The new stop will be located at the Gateway Depot, 816 Royal Gorge Blvd., in Cañon City. Eastbound buses traveling toward Pueblo are scheduled to stop at 9 a.m., while westbound buses heading to Alamosa are scheduled to arrive at 3:45 p.m. The depot is owned and supported by the Royal Gorge Chamber Alliance Foundation.

In addition to Cañon City, the Alamosa–Pueblo route includes scheduled stops in Pueblo, Alamosa, Pueblo West, Penrose, Cotopaxi, Salida, Poncha Springs and Moffat.

Bustang Outrider is designed to provide a transportation alternative between rural communities and Colorado’s larger cities and towns. The service emphasizes coordination with local agencies to offer reliable bus service, consistent fares and convenient connections across the state.

In addition to the Alamosa–Pueblo route, Bustang Outrider operates six other routes: Craig–Denver, Crested Butte/Gunnison–Denver, Durango–Grand Junction, Lamar–Colorado Springs, Trinidad–Pueblo and Sterling–Denver.

Schedules, route maps and ticket information are available at RideBustang.com. Riders may purchase tickets through the Bustang Outrider mobile app or pay with cash when boarding the bus. Riders can also sign up for service alerts through the Bustang website or by text message.
