The Colorado Bureau of Investigation on Thursday released new details in the ongoing investigation of a deadly Saturday-afternoon shooting in Florence, identifying the victim as 40-year-old Zebariah Boh and saying the 43-year-old woman who fired the weapon has claimed self-defense.

Thursday's update follows CBI's initial announcement earlier this week that the agency was assisting Florence police in the deadly shooting investigation.

CBI said the woman has been cooperating with authorities and admitted to firing the weapon in the incident. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances, and no official determination has been made. The case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney for a charging decision.

The Fremont County Coroner has completed the autopsy for Boh, and those findings have been shared with investigators. CBI said the autopsy results, like all aspects of the case, remain under active examination.

CBI is assisting the Florence Police Department in the investigation. Additional information will be provided as details become available.
