The Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Saguache County Sheriff's Office, and the Saguache County Board of Commissioners have announced a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the December 2025 homicide of Charles William "Bill" McClure, 78, a resident of Center, Colorado.

Officers from the Center Police Department discovered McClure deceased inside his residence off East Highway 112 on the morning of December 23, 2025. The discovery came after local construction workers, who had arrived on-site to build a garage, alerted authorities when they had not seen the homeowner for several days.

Investigators have determined that McClure was last seen alive on Friday, December 19, 2025. Authorities are asking the public to report any suspicious activity observed in the area between December 19 and December 23.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has partnered with Crime Stoppers to manage incoming tips, providing a secure and anonymous reporting channel. Anyone with information — even details that may seem minor — is encouraged to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tipline at 719-589-4111. Callers providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for the $2,000 reward.

"We are committed to finding justice for the victim and his family," said CBI Director Armando Saldate. "By leveraging the Crime Stoppers network, we hope to encourage anyone with even the smallest detail to come forward without fear."

The CBI is leading the investigation with ongoing support from the Center Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol Regional Dispatch Center. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.
