Cheyenne Wells insurance agent Wendy Dickey named RMFU Agent of the Year

Wendy Dickey of Cheyenne Wells has been named the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union’s Agent of the Year for 2025, an honor recognizing her work serving agricultural producers and rural communities, according to an announcement from the organization.
Dickey, who was born and raised in Cheyenne Wells, owns the Wendy S. Dickey Agency Inc., where she provides a range of insurance and risk management services. Her offerings include farm, home and auto insurance, as well as crop, health and specialty coverage.

Before entering the insurance industry, Dickey worked in banking for 12 years. She became an insurance agent in 2002 and later opened her own agency, with a focus on building long-term relationships with clients and serving the needs of her local community.
Dickey is also active with the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, a general farm organization with members in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. The group advocates on behalf of farm and ranch families and rural communities through grassroots engagement.
She and her husband, Devin, who also grew up in Cheyenne Wells and farms in the area, have three children. Their daughters, Kassadee and Sydney, and son, Zach, attend Fort Hays State University. In addition to her professional work, Dickey is involved in her church and community.
