
CSP Trooper arrested on child exploitation charge in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police have arrested Luke Zellman, a state trooper for the Colorado State Patrol, on a charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Zellman was booked into El Paso County Jail and placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
Zellman joined the Colorado State Patrol in March 2014, starting his career at the Steamboat Springs Troop Office. He transferred to the Colorado Springs Troop Office in September 2017. The Colorado Springs Police Department is handling the investigation but has not released additional details about the case.

The Colorado State Patrol said in a press release that it upholds values of honor, duty and respect, stressing that it takes those standards seriously.
Zellman’s case will continue to be investigated by the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and Colorado Springs Police Department.
