Wanda Lou (Mays) Russell was born September 11, 1943, in Chivington to the late Herman Frederick William and Floy Leona (Brown) Mays. She died December 8, 2023, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 27 days.
Wanda and Rocky Russell were united in marriage April 10, 1962, in Denver. From this union was born two sons, Kennith and Bradley.
Wanda was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a happy individual, often brightening the day of those around her. Prior to her retirement in 2015, she worked for Wanda Knapp at the Davis Insurance Co.
Survivors include her husband, Rocky; sons, Kennith Russell and wife Lora of Davis, Oklahoma and Bradley Russell and wife Laurie of Parker; three grandchildren, Jenette, Patrick and Megan Russell; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her sister, Alma Jean Smith.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hale’s Funeral Home.
