It's a busy week coming up for Plainview School.  It is Homecoming Week and they will be dressing up for various things each day.  There will be a dance on Thursday evening in the gym.  On Friday, at Plainview School, there will be a parade from 4:30-5p.m.; a community cookout at 5:30 - please bring a side dish or dessert (enough for your family) - hotdogs and hamburgers will be furnished;  the bonfire and activities will start around 6p.m. - bring your lawn chairs.  The Homecoming football game will be played at Plainview on Monday, Oct. 3 at 2p.m. against Weskan.  They will crown the King and Queen at half-time.  The High School girls volleyball game will follow the football game.  Come on out and support our "Hawks"!!

Cora Coffman attended the wedding of her granddaughter Kelli Kern and Sonny Chavez on Saturday, September 24th in Black Forest. Congratulations Kelli and Sonny!!

Evan Hopkins and his children, Layton and Julia and his sister Christy Hopkins went camping last weekend at Saguache, CO.

Carol Shalberg traveled to Lakin, KS Friday to watch her grandson, Dawsen play football.  On Saturday, Carol and Merle Shalberg went to Garden City, KS to help her uncle,  Hetrick Wayne celebrate his 95th birthday.  They enjoyed seeing and visiting with lots of family and old friends.  Happy Birthday Hetrick!

Vern and JoAnn Harris went to Goodland, KS over the weekend to the Flatlanders Racing.  Their son Tim, grandson Tyler and friends, Ashley and Brandon accompanied them to Goodland.

My grandson Kyle and I went to Tribune, KS Sunday evening to see the movie "Sully".  It was a very good movie.

Weekend guests of Monte and Linda Stum were their daughter Kami and family from Rocky Ford.  On Sunday evening, Kirbi and Shay Stum and children and Linly and Sherell Stum joined them for a birthday dinner honoring Monte.  Happy Birthday Monte!

On Saturday, my sister Jerene DeBono and I went to the Whimmydiddle Craft Fair in Scott City, KS  Others from out area attending were:  Susan Greenfield; Linda Stum; Chris and Kami Janes and girls and Debbie Corneilus and daughters.
