Our communities would like to extend their condolences to J.D. Wilson and family on the loss of his brother, Winifred Wilson and to Nadine (Smotherman) Hays and family on the loss of her husband Ray Hays.

How about the rain and snow we received on Friday?  I've heard  reports of 1.2 inches up to 1.6 inches of good moisture.   April showers  bring May flowers!!

We would like to welcome Jim and MaryAnn Richardson back from Arizona, where they spent the winter months.

Marlin Stum is in the hospital in Garden City with pneumonia. We hope you are feeling better soon Marlin.  Linly and Sherell Stum went Friday to see Marlin.

Jerry Weber was in Denver this week to see his doctor and spent the weekend with his son Quinton.

Lori and Carol Shalberg went to San Antonio recently to visit with their niece/granddaughter, Brandy Blanton, husband Kyle and children, 6 year old Avery and 8 month old Harper.  They managed to fly in and out between storms without much delay.

Evan, Jen, Layton, Julia and Lincoln Hopkins went to Woodston, KS to visit with her dad, Larry Poore over the weekend.

Last Thursday, Cora Coffman and Jeff and Sheila Brase were supper guests of Kelli Kern and Sonny Chavez in Cheyenne Wells.

Dick, Kyle and I went to Garden City on Friday to shop and get Kyle's new glasses.

Eugene and Judy Splitter; David and Dennill Splitter; Jason and Alex Specht; Jonathan, Justin and Phillip Splitter and Paul and Donna Splitter all traveled to Baltimore this past weekend to attend the wedding of Jeremy Splitter, son of Mike and Patty Splitter.

Kelvin, Amy and Alex Schmidt went to Hays, KS this last weekend to help Mikayla move into her summer apartment.  She will be staying in Hays and working over the summer.

Kelli Kern, Sonny Chavez and Cora Coffman went to Lamar on Sunday to shop and have lunch.

Denis and Theresa Weber visited with Jim and MaryAnn Richardson on Sunday afternoon.

The annual School Carnival will be held at Plainview School on Friday evening.  Come on out and support the kids and have some fun.
