Funeral Services - Merle LeRoy Shalberg

Funeral services for lifelong Sheridan Lake rancher and farmer Merle L. Shalberg will be held November 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church in Sheridan Lake. Visitation will be held November 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Eads. Burial will take place in the Sheridan Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Shalberg was born January 6, 1936, in Sheridan Lake, and passed away November 10, 2025, surrounded by his family at Weisbrod Hospital in Eads following a very brief illness at the age of 89

Mr. Shalberg is survived by his wife, Carol, of the family home; children, Steve (Corie McKane) Shalberg of Lakin, Kansas, and Greg (Penni) Shalberg of Sheridan Lake; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister, Charlotte (William) Woelk of Eads.

Merle was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori Shalberg; one sister; and one niece.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Merle Shalberg Memorial Fund in care of GN Bank, PO Box 847, Eads, CO 81036.
