Golden Plains Insurance has announced Kree Wallace of Las Animas as the recipient of its 2026 Educational Scholarship, awarding him $2,000. The scholarship recognizes outstanding dedication to community service, education, faith, and academic excellence among graduating seniors.

Kree distinguished himself from a competitive pool of over 30 applicants with his strong commitment to community service, passion for agriculture, and exemplary leadership. He has maintained an impressive 4.265 weighted GPA and received three letters of recommendation highlighting his dedication and character.

With plans to major in veterinary medicine at West Texas A&M University this fall, Kree aims to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). His autobiographical statement reflects his passion: “My love for life within agriculture is what has led me to want to become a veterinarian, as well as drives me to create a life for myself within the industry.”

The Scholarship Committee at Golden Plains Insurance congratulates Kree on this achievement and wishes him continued success in his future academic and professional endeavors.
