Colorado State University Southeast Area Extension, in cooperation with Kiowa County Public Library, is hosting a two-day “Garden to Kitchen” workshop led by CSU Southeast Area FCS Extension Specialist Abby Weber, and Southern Region Renewable Resource Specialist Annie Overlin.

The event will take place April 17-18 at the Kiowa County Community Building, located within the Kiowa County Fairgrounds in Eads.

This free workshop is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each day, and aims to educate participants about cultivating vegetables and herbs in their own indoor or outdoor gardens.  Participants will learn different ways to use the seeds planted by observing a food preparation demonstration and tasting samples.

All supplies for planting, along with class incentives, will be distributed during the workshop.  These supplies and incentives are provided by CSU Extension.

In order to ensure a personalized experience, registration is limited to 30 participants.

The classes will be available in both English and Spanish, making it an inclusive opportunity for all.

To register, contact the CSU Kiowa County Extension Office at 719-438-5321 during office hours, Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
