Friends of Mueller State Park will hold a firewood fundraiser at Mueller State Park near Divide on Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while supplies last.

Firewood available at the event was generated by ongoing forest-thinning work at the park. The sale site is located at Gate 36 off Colorado Highway 67, approximately two miles south of the stoplight in Divide and one mile north of the main park entrance. Signs will be visible from Highway 67. Buyers should turn west at the gate for directions to the loading area.

The Friends group is offering mixed dry and green, un-split firewood rounds cut to approximately 12 to 24 inches. Cash-only donations are sought: $80 for a full short-bed pickup and $120 for a full long-bed pickup. Trailers up to 20 feet are permitted this year. All wood is self-loaded. No park pass is required. Four-wheel-drive trucks are recommended.
