• Jose Rossy - Band Director, Dana Hallman, Jayce Negley, Alicia James, Remington Brandt, Jenifer Negley, and Logan Smith - members of Eads Band - competed in the Honor Band competition at Limon.

• The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Eads, has reopened after three weeks of painting and re-carpeting work.
• Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: Santa day drew a nice crowd at the old pool hall in Kit Carson.

40 Years Ago - December 23, 1983

• One of the most outstanding projects completed by the Haswell students was a free-hand colored chalk drawing with direction and the supervision of their teacher Lane Gooden.
• Florence and Eddie from Kit Carson county received the Service to Agriculture Award in recognition of various 4-H and Ag activities for years.

50 Years Ago - December 21, 1973

• B & L Liquor at 115 W. Highway 287/96 held a grand opening.
• The Eads High School Band is still selling delicious Manor Texas Fruit Cakes.

75 Years Ago - December 17, 1948

• The entire grade school, as well as the high school Glee Club, will participate in the sacred cantata “The Glory of Christmas” at the Eads gym.

100 Years Ago - December, 1923
