• Alyssa Splitter of Sheridan Lake represented the Wranglers Gymnastic Team at the Colorado State Championships, and won Bronze on the balance beam. This was her first year in competition.
• Kit Carson Clips- Marilyn White: The exciting news was the big rain. Kit Carson got over three inches. Some hail, too, which took a toil on gardens.

• About Town- Ida Lessenden: Big Sandy was running after a three-inch rain at Kit Carson. The cattle were enjoying standing in the water trying to cool off in the 100-degree heat.
