- Crash at Wansted Street (Hwy 287) & 10th. A semi traveling south lost control on slick road a hitting power pole causing the semi to jackknife, coming to rest on the east side of Wansted.
- The Eads Junior Class sponsored a chicken fried steak meal with all the “fixins” and Bingo night for $8.00.

- Dustin Uhland was named by Rocky Mountain Preps as Outstanding Wrestler in the 1A-2A Colorado High School Activity Association.
- Kiowa County School District RE-2 considered a plan to move payday to a definite date each month.

- Eads fire fighters were called to the Lida Fischer home to extinguish a haystack fire.
- The Eads boys high school basketball team finished their regular season undefeated.
50 Years Ago - March 12, 1976
- All six members of the Haswell Board of Trustees and Mayor, plus three new candidates, have announced intent to run for election.
- Donna Dunlap has been appointed as the Kiowa County “Reagan for President” Chair.
75 Years Ago - March 16, 1951
- A new town water well in Eads has been completed. This now gives the town five wells within the city limits
100 Years Ago - March 12, 1926
- A new filling and auto service station will be erected on the southeast corner of 14th & Main Street by A.L. Mansker.
- Sheridan Lake Items: We are wondering how much good the drag does the roads now when the wind blows all of the loose dirt away.
