Town of Eads Regular Council Meeting Minutes - July 8, 2025

The meeting was called to order by pro-tem mayor Dennis Pearson at 4:55 P.M.

Roll call was taken by Mikahael Rogers. Those council members present were, Stephanie Sewell, Kathy McCracken, Dennis Pearson, and Rich O’Brian. Mikahael Rogers, assistant Town Clerk, was present. Trent Rittgers, Director of Public Works, and, guest present were Betsy Barnett, Raina Lynch, Megan Herran and Beth Bell.

Public Comment-

Kathy McCracken made a motion to approve the June minutes that were presented. Rich O’Brian seconded the motion. All Ayes

APPROVAL OF BILLS

A motion was made by Kathy McCracken to approve the bills and seconded by Stephanie Sewell. All Ayes. 

OLD BUSINESS

Airport- Tabled

NEW BUSINESS

New pool- Beth Bell said that the pool designer is coming up with 3 designs. The new pool will roughly cost about 700,000.00. They are looking at fundraising ideas, also we are still needing donations and in-kind donations. Beth stated that we need an RFP. The board made a motion to go ahead and do that. Stephanie Sewell made the motion to approve the RFP and Rich O’Brian Seconded. All Ayes. 

CLCEC Library- Betsy Barnett said the contractor is doing an amazing job. She stated that the library should be done in 2 months. The HVAC plumbing and all the dry wall are done. They are still working on the floors. The electric is put in but not hooked up just yet. The tax credits portal hasn’t opened up yet so they are waiting on that. Betsy stated that the kitchen will be done on the next phase and it will be a teaching kitchen.

Bring up Items- Trent Rittgers told the board that he was making progress on the drainage project and he was set to pour concrete on Thursday
