Weekend Weather Outlook – Brief Warming

By Chris Sorensen

After days of below-freezing temperatures, the weekend may seem closer to a tropical paradise.

Mostly sunny skies and a high near 40 are expected Friday, with an overnight low dropping to the mid-teens.

Saturday will be the warmest day over the coming week, with the high reaching 50 before dropping to the mid-20s at night.

Look for mid-40s Sunday and Monday, with lows in the upper teens.

For the remainder of the week, daytime highs will hover around the freezing mark, then drop to the low teens overnight as a trough moves across Colorado Tuesday. Mountain areas are expected to receive more snow, however the plains are unlikely to receive any precipitation to help ease strengthening drought conditions.
