The Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office is pleased to introduce to you the newest member of our Office, K9 Draco.
Draco is a black GSD and is trained in narcotics detection and tracking. He and his handler Sergeant Feeney have been rigorously training out of state for the past few weeks to prepare to begin working in Cheyenne County.

After graduating from high school, Eisenhower's Interstate highway construction was underway and plenty of jobs were available. I got into road construction, starting as a laborer, then as a form carpenter and concrete worker, finally a heavy equipment operator.

It was getting late in the fall, and Harold, Pete, and Tony were driving out of the meadow when Tony saw an elk. In fact, it was the day before elk hunting season. Without thinking Harold grabbed his rifle and shot the elk. He took it home and we all had elk for supper. It was good, but that was all we had.
It is card party time at the schoolhouse in Wild Horse after mold mitigation and termite extermination, the first gathering was Sunday afternoon. A raucous shoutout to the ladies for cleaning and preparing the building for the party, a big thank you to Eastern Colorado Bank for their support and assistance.

We bought a nice house in Moorefield, a town of about fifty people, fifteen miles east of Curtis. This was the only time in our life we lived in an incorporated town except for college.

My Baker grandparents had moved from the farm in Hanover into Fountain. Judy, I and Tony lived in their house that summer and the next summer. The second summer the house was a dirty mess because the mice had moved into it during the winter.
