Lamar Community College (LCC) will honor its graduating nursing students during the Nurse Pinning ceremony.

Lamar Community College (LCC) students and employees who are struggling have a variety of supportive services at their fingertips. All they need to do is ask. 

LopesCares Coordinator Susan Frankel is determined to help support the well-being of students and staff at LCC. Along with the work of her predecessor, Dr. Rosalind Smith, and the support of the college, LCC has services to ensure that students and employees of LCC can be successful.

The May Ranch of Lamar has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Colorado Leopold Conservation Award.

A recent vote by the state's community college system will maintain the current tuition prices for the 2021-22 academic year.

Enrollment for summer and fall courses is now open at Lamar Community College in Prowers County, with special offers available to make learning more affordable.

A Lamar Community College student has been recognized for his exceptional leadership and academic achievement and will receive the prestigious Coca-Cola Academic Team scholarship.

November 10, 1921 - March 29, 2021

Dorothy M. Courkamp of Lamar passed away gently at her son's home in Goodyear, Arizona, March 29, 2021. Her children were with her when she passed.

One of seven children, she and twin brother, Donald McMichael, were born to parents John B. and Carrie (Clark) McMichael November 10, 1921, on the family ranch near Brandon.

Dorothy grew up on the family ranch and went to school and graduated from Brandon High School in 1940.
