Colorado Lottery players are hoping for fireworks this weekend, with both the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots well into the triple digit millions.
The Mega Millions jackpot has reached a staggering $449 million as of Sunday morning, the third-largest jackpot in the game's history. The lump sum cash value is currently $289.6 million with the next drawing scheduled for Tuesday night. Powerball's jackpot for Wednesday night's drawing is at $247 million and has a current lump sum cash value of $179.7 million.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife urges hunters and anglers, or anyone who wants their voice heard regarding wildlife issues, to attend the next southeast region Sportsmen's Roundtable caucus in Colorado Springs on Thursday, July 14, at 6 p.m. at the Hunter Education classroom at Colorado Parks and Wildlife's regional office, 4255 Sinton Road.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife, in partnership with the Colorado Department of Education and Colorado State Library announced the expansion of the Check Out Colorado State Parks program to 287 libraries statewide, including the Kiowa County Public Library in Eads, with a proclamation read by Lieutenant Governor Donna Lynne today at the Denver Central Library.
Check Out Colorado State Parks Program is an initiative offering residents the ability to check out a hang-tag park pass from their local library for entrance into any of Colorado's 42 state parks.
The list of acts coming to the Colorado State Fair continues to grow; two acts have been added to the already diverse entertainment list.

"X-Men: Apocalypse"

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is a film that exists for no other reason than that it was time for another "X-Men" movie. Fans have been eager to see a new film since "Days of Future Past" was one of the biggest hits of the franchise two years ago. That film ended with the promise of the villain Apocalypse for the next movie, and we're going to get that movie even if director Bryan Singer can't come up with anything to make it unique or appealing.
