Funeral services for Judith "Judy" Ann Tuttle of Towner, Colorado, were held September 26, 2020.

Funeral services for Judith Ann Tuttle will be held Saturday at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church.

Results of the 2020 Kiowa County fair 4-H competitions have been announced by the Colorado State University Extension Office in Eads, Colorado.

Robert Gene Hopkins

July 19, 1947 - July 10, 2020

Robert Gene Hopkins, age 72, died unexpectedly July 10, 2020, in Dodge City, Kansas.  Robert was born July 19, 1947, in Lamar to Everett and Olive Hopkins.  He was one of four children (Gloria, Robert, his twin brother Rodney, and Jim) who grew up the family farm five miles south of Towner.

A memorial service for Robert Gene Hopkins, formerly of Lamar and currently of Towner, Colorado, and Dodge City, Kansas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.

Robert was born July 19, 1947, at Lamar to Everett M. and Olive M. (Roberts) Hopkins, and passed away July 10, 2020, in Dodge City.

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred Saturday morning near Towner in eastern Kiowa County.

According to CSP, the vehicle rolled several times, ejecting the occupants. One person was fatally injured.

Four others were transported to a hospital in Tribune, Kansas. Their names, ages and conditions have not been released.

The investigation in ongoing.

Plainview will be holding graduation May 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in front of the Plainview School.  Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, only family will be allowed to attend and must remain in their cars at the parking lot in front of the school. 

Graduation speaker, Valedictorian and Salutatorian will give their speeches.  Awards, scholarships, and diplomas will be handed out to the graduates

The six Senior graduates are:  Kyle Scott, Alex Schmidt, Benjamin Splitter, Kayden Moser, Savanah Stum, and Olivia Specht.
