Colorado Veterans Project (CVP), a veteran-related nonprofit, will partner with Wounded Warrior Project to host a series of veteran hiring preparation events this spring and summer, culminating in an in-person hiring mixer in Castle Rock, designed to help transitioning service members connect with civilian employers.

The initiative will begin with two virtual preparation sessions held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. May 12 and May 14. Participants only need to attend one of the two sessions.

The interactive sessions will focus on translating military experience into civilian career opportunities and helping participants communicate their professional strengths. Veterans will receive guidance on resume development, LinkedIn optimization and soft skills assessment, along with mock interviews and personalized feedback to prepare for real-world hiring conversations.

Veterans who attend a preparation session will be invited to an in-person hiring mixer on Thursday, June 18, in Castle Rock, Colorado. Designed as a casual, conversation-driven environment, the event will provide an opportunity for one-on-one interactions, continued dialogue and meaningful relationship-building with local employers and business leaders.
