Colorado Parks and Wildlife is reminding selected hunters that the deadline to complete the 2025 Big Game Harvest Survey is February 17, with the results expected to play a key role in setting future hunting seasons and license numbers.

The agency randomly selected about 170,000 deer, elk and pronghorn license holders to participate in the survey, which collects information used by wildlife managers to guide herd management decisions for 2026 and beyond. Officials said responses are important even from license holders who did not hunt or harvest during the season.

Hunters chosen to participate were notified by email, text message or a live phone call. Only those selected are eligible to complete the survey.

Participants are asked to provide information on where and when they hunted, whether they harvested an animal and what species was taken, as well as their satisfaction with herd conditions. Respondents may also answer optional questions related to crowding, hunting satisfaction and preferences for future herd management.

Selected hunters can complete the survey online through the link provided in their notification, by visiting survey.colobgharvest.com, or by calling 1-855-9BG-HARV (1-855-924-4278).

Colorado Parks and Wildlife said harvest reports from previous seasons are available on its website, and the finalized 2025 big game harvest report is expected to be posted in March.
