Weekend before last, Jen Hopkins and children traveled to Woodston, KS to help her grandmother, Venda Poore celebrate her 97th birthday. 

Happy Belated Birthday Venda, hope you have many more!

Susan Greenfield would like to thank whomever cut down the bushes along the highway on her street.  You can now easily see oncoming traffic when stopped at the stop sign.

Dick and I traveled to Pueblo last Wednesday to do some shopping and to consult with his eye Dr.

Last week-end, Jen Hopkins and children went to Woodston, KS and picked up her dad, Larry Poore, then on to Manhatten, KS to visit friends.  The younger kids enjoyed catching fish in the friends pond.

Jerry Weber had his parents, Denis and Theresa Weber over last Thursday for a steak supper, to celebrate his dad's birthday.  Happy Birthday Denis.

On Sunday, Denis, Theresa and Jerry Weber went to Eads to Prairie Pines to help Theresa's brother, Mike Gorman celebrate his 65th birthday.  Happy Birthday Mike!

Merle, Carol and Lori Shalberg went to Wiley Friday evening to the football game.  Merle and Carol's grandson, Brock Shalberg coaches the team.  On Saturday, Merle and Carol went to Holly to the horse races.

One day last week, JoAnn Harris went to Granada to visit with her granddaughter, Megan Thrall.

Last Friday, Jim and MaryAnn Richardson traveled to Burlington, CO to have lunch with their granddaughter, Melanie.

Cecil Coffman spent Friday and Saturday with his mom, Cora Coffman, doing some chores for her.  Cora went to Cheyenne Wells Friday afternoon to watch her great grandson Weslee play football.

The annual business meeting and potluck dinner was held at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church after services this past Sunday.

Amanda Berggren and Trey Johnson were married Saturday, September 17th, at the Dyck Arboretum of the Plains in Hesston, KS. Amanda's parents, Bryan and Dorcas; sister Abby; brothers Michael and Jaymie and families; grandmother Freda Schmidt; Uncle Kelvin, Aunt Amy, and cousins Mikayla and Alex Schmidt all attended the wedding.  Other people from our area attending were:  Ron and Ruth Buller; Eugene and Judy Splitter and David, Dennill and Lydia Splitter as well as other family and friends from other areas. Congratulations Amanda and Trey!!

Next week will be a busy one for Plainview School and our communities as we have Homecoming activities all week.  Plan to come out and participate in all of the activities planned.
