I found out that a friend in Holly had passed away and was buried before I received the news. Maybe the old form of communication was better than all our modern technology. Anyway, our condolences to the family of Lonnie Hess, former Towner resident and was living in Holly when he passed away. His daughter, Lonetta, and I went to school together in Towner.

Jerry Weber got out of ICU on Saturday. Keep him in your prayers as he moves forward to recovery.

Last Wednesday, I went to Cheyenne Wells to see the doctor and then had lunch with Cora Coffman.

Denis and Theresa Weber's niece, Janice Kollath of Pueblo spent a couple of days last week visiting them.

Susan Greenfield's dad, Norman, was down to help her with some yard work over the weekend. They attended the track meet in Holly on Saturday.

My sis, Jerene DeBono, and I went to Garden City Saturday shopping for flowers for our yards and containers.

Adam, Shelby and Abel Watts of Sterling were here over the weekend to visit her parents, Rick and Kim Harris and other family members in the area.

Larry Poore, Jen Hopkins dad came for the weekend to watch his grandchildren; Layton, Julia and Lincoln Hopkins participate in the Loyalty Day pig show on Saturday and Layton in the beef show on Sunday in Tribune, KS. Cheri Hopkins also went to watch the grandchildren compete. A good time was had by all.

The Holly baseball team defeated Cheyenne Wells and Eads last weekend to claim the District Championship. They advance to Regionals next weekend in Lakewood, CO. Alex Schmidt and Benji Davis of Plainview are members of the team. Congratulations and good luck next weekend.

Plainview Graduation is this Friday, May 11 at 6:00 p.m. School is out next Thursday, May 17.

Have a great week!!
