Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority

The Authority works to develop and implement plans for water quality controls for the reservoir and surrounding waters in order to achieve and maintain water quality standards.

Colorado Wine Industry Development Board

The Board encourages and promotes viticultural and enological research and experimentation for the maximum production and quality of wine produced in the State of Colorado.  This includes the marketing of wines produced in Colorado and as an asset to the state’s tourism program.

Community Rail Safety Advisory Committee

The Community Rail Safety Advisory Committee was created under House Bill 24-1030 and is administered by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission's Office of Rail Safety, in coordination with CDOT and CDPS. Its seven members represent union rail workers, disproportionately impacted communities, and statewide environmental organizations. The committee reviews rail safety concerns raised by the public, evaluates proposed rail safety policies, and consults on the state's required rail safety report to the Governor and legislature.

Competency Task Force

The Competency Task Force reviews Colorado’s competency laws for criminal defendants and recommends reforms to improve access to treatment, court procedures, and public safety outcomes. It evaluates how individuals found incompetent to proceed are assessed, restored, or diverted into appropriate behavioral health services, and works to improve coordination between courts, prosecutors, defense counsel, and mental health providers.

Disability Funding Authority

The Colorado Disability Funding Authority oversees funding and grant programs supporting services that improve independence and quality of life for people with disabilities. Early Childhood Leadership Commission

In 2010, the Early Childhood Leadership Commission was formed to promote the coordination of policies and procedures that affect the health and well-being of Colorado children.  A bipartisan public-private partnership of state leaders and decision makers, the Commission seeks to improve outcomes for young children ages birth to eight and their families by advancing the alignment, coordination and efficiency of programs and services.

Medical Services Board 

The Medical Services Board adopts the rules and regulations that govern the operation of the Colorado Medicaid Program and Colorado Indigent Care Program.  The Regulations adopted by the board will direct the efforts of the State in defining eligibility and the benefits for these programs, the rights and obligations of clients receiving benefits, and the payment of vendors providing health care services.  The Board will also provide advice and consultation to the State Board of Human Services in connection with the administration of the Old Age Pension Health and Medical Fund.

State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors

The Colorado Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors regulates the practice of those professions.  Its responsibilities encompass the evaluation of whether applicants are minimally qualified for licensure, the examination of such applicants, licensing, license renewal, setting policy with regard to the practice of the profession, consideration of complaints against licensees and those who may have practiced without a license, and disciplining those who have not complied with the law.

State Board of Nursing
