Governor Polis Appoints Kara E. Clark to the 8th Judicial District Court
Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Kara E. Clark to the 8th Judicial District Court. This vacancy is created by the appointment of the Honorable Susan Blanco to the Colorado Supreme Court and is effective immediately.
Clark is a District Court Magistrate in the 8th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2024. Her docket consists of domestic matters.
Previously, she was an Assistant County Attorney in the Larimer County Attorney’s Office (2020-2024); Partner at Lamborne & Clark, LLC (2017-2020); Partner at Shufflebarger, Lamborne & Clark, LLC (2015-2017); Partner at Liley & Clark, LLC (2014-2015); and Supervising Attorney (2012-2014) and Staff Attorney (2009-2011) at Crossroads Safehouse, Bringing Justice Home Project.
Clark earned her B.A. from Cornell University in 2005 and her J.D. from University of Akron School of Law in 2009.
Colorado 8th Judicial District includes Larimer and Jackson counties.
