Karla Jean Buck, 79, of Eads, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Eads on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Karla was born on March 6, 1947, in Eads, Colorado, to Donald and Viola Koch. She was raised in the Eads community, where she developed a deep appreciation for family, friends, and the close-knit values of southeastern Colorado.

Karla married the love of her life, Bill Buck and they were blessed with two sons.  She devoted herself to creating a warm and welcoming home and was known for her caring nature, generous heart, and unwavering support of those she loved.

Those who knew Karla will remember her for her kindness, quiet strength, and genuine compassion. She treasured time spent with her family and friends and found joy in life's simple pleasures.  Her warmth, sense of humor, and loving spirit touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Karla is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Viola Koch, husband Bill Buck, and her son, Ricky Buck.

She is survived by her brother, Beatle Koch and wife Sharon, daughter-in-law, Stephanie Buck, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. 

Arrangements are under the directions of Brown Funeral Home
