Randall Neal Ivicic was born October 13, 1961, in Taylor, Texas, and passed away February 3, 2024 at his home in Kit Carson.

Randy Was born on Friday the 13th.

He went to school in Georgetown, Texas. While going to school and playing in sports, he would spell his last name as ‘I have a check’ for them to pronounce his name right.

Randy was a truck driver for many years off and on. He worked for Heerin Construction and Concrete from 1992 to 1996, Taz Country from 1996 to 2005, the ranch from 2005 to 2006, Ramming Industries from 2006 to 2017, Big Dawg BBQ from 2018 to 2022, Kit Carson RV park ice house from 2022 to 2024. Randy also was the sound guy and a manager for a band called “Somewhere in Texas” throughout the years.

Randy loved driving trucks, and when he moved to Colorado, he had a chance to open up a barbecue restaurant that he loved doing. He also met Brent here in Kit Carson, and worked a few times at the feed store, where he is known as Big Dawg Randy. He coached Pop Warner football, which he loved dearly.

Randy met his wife in 2010 on the Internet, and discovered that they only lived four miles apart. Randy and Sara were married October 21, 2012, and lived in Bertram until 2018 when they moved to Kit Carson and opened his dream job Big Dawg BBQ. Randy loved to barbecue and, over the course of the years 2004 through 2021, he entered several barbecue cook-offs, winning several prizes along the way. When he couldn’t barbecue anymore, Randy opened up a liquor store.

Randy has 11 grandchildren and loves every one of them. He will be watching over every one of them. Randy made many of friends throughout all the years of his, life and he enjoyed every one of you.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sara; mother, Maedelle Anthony; second mother, Lanelle Cooper; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Ivicic, Scott (Jeni) Ivicic, Jem Cochran, Christopher (Andrea) Cochran and Cody (Thomas) Haralson; grandchildren, Ranger, Hunter, Tyler, Hanna, Harper, Mariah and Makynzee Ann Ivicic, and Rubii, Alicia, Jem V, Ashton, and Mina Cochran; brothers, Michael, Dan (Maria), and Jeff (Jackie) Ivicic; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Randy was proceeded in death by his son, Andrew Ivicic; father, Clifford Ivicic; brother, Steven Ivicic; grandparents, Jerry and Vlasta Ivicic and John and Della Thompson; and by his in-laws, Bill and Jean Fetty.

Randy's family will be hosting a time of celebrating his life February 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kit Carson Community Building in Kit Carson.

A second service will be held March 3, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 8150 TX-29E, Georgetown, Texas.
