• Towner Tales- Cheri Hopkins: We had a weekend of very welcome rain. Reports from 0.20” around Towner to 2.20” south of Towner.
• At the Kiowa County District Hospital Board meeting, LaVerle Kelley reported the Kiowa County Commissioners would loan the hospital $25,000 per quarter to use for operating expenses if needed.

• Superintendent “Shorty” Musselman assured residents Eads’ water is safe, and to be doubly sure, sent a sample to the Colorado State Health Department.
• The First Nation Bank in Eads is offering a new service, accepting direct deposit of Social Security benefits.

• The Division of Wildlife was planning on locating 40 head of antelope in Kiowa County at an undisclosed location.
