Judy’s Heart Attack

Judy was having pain in her arm and shoulder around Father’s Day in June of 2023. I took her to the Hugo Hospital; Tony drove us. They told her she needed to go to Aurora because they couldn’t do treatment for her that she needed to have done.

Judy didn’t want to go to Aurora, and she spent the night in the hospital at Hugo. I took her home the next day. A couple days later, her pain came back so I took her back to Hugo.

Kim, Jerry, and Lauren came out from Colorado Springs. Judy still did not want to go to Aurora. There was an opening in the Colorado Springs hospital and Judy wanted to go there. The next day, they put a stent in her heart. I stayed at Kim and Jerry’s a few days. When Judy was able to come home, Kim and Lauren came for a day or two.

Judy started therapy in Eads. She went twice a week. The dizziness she felt never went away.

I tried to take her walking every day. Fridays, Judy always went to her beauticians, then she did her therapy at the hospital. She also did therapy on Mondays.

I always helped her with her CPAP. Sometimes she didn’t want to wear it all night and I would let her take it off. Before the night was over, she usually had to put it back on.

August 8, 2023, I put Judy’s CPAP on. She immediately said, “take it off, I can’t breathe.” I did take it off and set her up in a straight back chair. I thought she might be able to breath easier, but a few breaths later. The Lord took her home.

I am very sad, and I cry some every day. August 25, 2023, we would have been married sixty-six years. We had a great life.

She left our oldest son, Tony, his wife, Brenda, our oldest granddaughter, Emily, her husband, Justin Golding, and our oldest great grandchildren, Tressie and Gunner

She left our son, Andy, his wife, Teri, and her daughter, Karlene. She left our oldest grandson, Joshua, his wife, Chevaun, and their children, Ellie, and Oliver. She left our grandson, Jacob, his wife, Abby, and their children, Cole, Bailey, and Luke. Judy left Amy’s daughter, Leah, our granddaughter.

Judy left our daughter, Kim, and her husband, Jerry Jaquess. She left our grandson, Michael, and his wife, Calcey, and their children, Hazel, Jack, and Otto. She left our granddaughter, Lauren. She left our grandson, Jeremy, and his daughter - our great granddaughter - Elidi.

Judy’s parents were Luther and Maxine Huntsman. Judy was the eldest of five children. She was five years older than John and Joan, who were twins. She was seven years older than Steve and Stanley, who also were twins.

I look forward to reuniting with Judy in Heaven someday.

Judy is buried on the lonely prairie west of Wild Horse, Colorado.

Judy and I loved it here on the lonely prairie south of Wild Horse.
