Weather Outlook: The Week Ahead – Warm and Dry Again

By Chris Sorensen

Above-average temperatures continue across southeast Colorado this week.

Sunday will start off cloudy, gradually clearing after mid-morning. A high of 70 is expected, cooling to the upper 40s overnight.

Monday’s high will spike to the low 80s, before settling to the low 70s for the remainder of the week.

Overnight lows start with low 40s Monday night before drifting down to the low 30s by Wednesday, and rebounding to the mid-30s by Friday.

Winds through the week are expected to be in the 5 to 15 mile-per-hour range.

A fire weather watch is in effect Monday for Baca County, as well as most of Las Animas and portions of Huerfano Counties. Caution with outdoor burning and activities that could spark fires is advised.
