Voters can fix signature, ID issues using Colorado BallotCure for the 2026 general election
Colorado county clerks have sent letters and emails to voters who must fix a signature or ID problem before their ballot can be counted in the 2026 General Election. Voters have until November 12 to correct the issue.
Ballots with these problems are held for "cure," or correction. Affected voters will get a notice from their county clerk. Voters enrolled in BallotTrax will also get a message from that system.
Voters can fix the problem in one of two ways. They can follow the instructions sent by their county. They can also use Colorado BallotCure, which works on a smartphone.

"Colorado BallotCure is an additional tool that allows voters to fix their ballot using a smartphone," said Secretary Griswold. "Colorado BallotCure provides every voter needing to cure a ballot with an opportunity to ensure their vote will be counted and their voice heard in our democracy."
To use Colorado BallotCure, visit GoVoteColorado.gov. Select "Cure my ballot." Then follow the prompts.
Secretary of State Jena Griswold also reminded Coloradans of other key election dates.
November 12 is the last day for voters to correct a signature or ID discrepancy. It is also the last day for county clerks to receive military and overseas ballots.
November 16 is the deadline for the Secretary of State's Office to set the 20-digit random seed for the bipartisan Risk Limiting Audit. The office must also tell counties which ballots were selected for the audit by that date.
November 24 is the deadline for county audit boards to report the results of the bipartisan Risk Limiting Audit to the Secretary of State's Office.
November 25 is the deadline for county canvass boards to finish the canvass. They must also send the official election abstract to the Secretary of State's Office by that date.
November 27 is the deadline for the Secretary of State's Office to order a statutory recount, if one is required.
Voters who received a notice about a signature or ID problem must correct it by November 12 for their ballot to be counted.
