Hot, dry weather is expected to continue across Kiowa County Friday through the weekend.

Look for high temperatures in the mid- to upper 90s Friday under sunny skies with an occasional cloud. Wind will mainly be out of the south today, with gusts up to 15 miles per hour for the western half of the county. Lighter winds are expected for eastern Kiowa County.

Overnight, lows fall to the mid-60s.

Rain is not expected through much of the weekend until Sunday evening when a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms shows up in the forecast. 

Highs Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the mid-90s, with lows in the 60s.

Elsewhere in Colorado, most areas will see the same hot, dry conditions expected for Kiowa County, with some potential for thunderstorms to develop over the mountains.
