- Kit Carson Clips- Marilyn White: A lot of sickness in the area right now. When I called the Kit Carson Outreach Clinic, I was flat out of luck to get an appointment.

- About Town- Ida Lessenden: The Haswell cooks had already prepared the food for “Meal on Wheels” when finding out that because of snow there would not be delivery to Eads. The food needed to be shared so the Road & Bridge men were blessed that day.
40 Years Ago - January 24, 1986
- Eads Chief of Police Chuck Emmert stated he still receives many “Dog at Large” complaints.
- Gary Rehm, Kiowa County Sheriff, issued a “Theft Alert” for Kiowa County, especially for farmers. Several thefts have taken place recently in the area.
50 Years Ago - January 23, 1976
- The Colorado Wildlife Commission added the Arctic Peregrine Falcon, the Prairie Sharp-tail Grouse, and 11 species of fish to the state’s list of threatened and endangered wildlife.
- A stolen 1962 Ford Falcon station wagon was recovered by Eads policeman Steve Komonce abandoned at Voss’ Truck Stop
75 Years Ago - January 26, 1951
- Mr. & Mrs. W.L. Dufur purchased Mon’s Motel from Mr. & Mrs. L. C. Rutledge.
- Work began on remodeling the Methodist Church.
